Kanzuri is a pepper paste that has been made as a preserved food in this area since ancient times. As part of the process, peppers are spread out onto the pure white snow to cure, before being mixed with salt, citrus flavoring, koji (a fungus used in saké and soy sauce production), then fermented for three or six years.

A Myoko facility named for the nearby tomato farms, Tomato sells fresh local farmed and wild vegetables. Events are also held every month. Also sells handmade sweets and pickled items made by local people.
